Mose Hugghis
AMPWDA Master Trainer
Mose Hugghis as a 14-year-old boy had an ability, passion and
love of dogs that provided him with a natural ability, relating to
and training dogs. Mose started his training career, working as a
decoy and throughout his career has continued to build on his
experience and knowledge base. Mose has been training dogs for 25
years and is now the owner and operator of K9-OTC Inc. in Topeka,
KS, where he conducts training in obedience, protection, off-leash
handling, service dog, PTSD dog, and Police K9 training &
certification for dog and handler.
He attended Washburn University, majoring in Criminal Justice. After
which, he began conducting obedience classes. In 2003, he started
training Police K-9s as well as Schutzhund. In 2006, he received
certification from Vom Kaiserhofe’s Training Center Standards, for
Obedience & Behavior Training and Personal Protection K-9 training.
After which Mose continued his work and in 2014 he Received
certification from Four States Police Canine Association for
certifying in Narcotics, Patrol, and Tracking/Trailing and was the
Kansas State Coordinator. Then, in 2015, he received a certification
of Award from Tom Brenneman for Trainer of Narcotics Detection Dogs
and Police Service Dogs.
Mose also serves as a reserve officer for the Onaga Police
Department.
