Todd Raak
AMPWDA Master Trainer
Todd has been involved with Search and Rescue for the past 7
years. He officially became a unit member of Missouri Search and
Rescue about 4 and a half years ago. He trained and certified his
bloodhound, Letti, up through a level 3 with AMPWDA. He has deployed
on numerous searches with his trailing dog, worked as search
manager, and assisted with the training of other K9s in various
disciplines relating to search and rescue. He has completed all
required course work - NIMS, First Aid/CPR (Certified), Hazmat,
Crime Scene Preservation and Search Management.
Todd has a strong work ethic and this showed when he assisted at
multiple AMPWDA Conferences. His passion for trailing and K9s is
obvious to anyone he meets. His preferred teaching style involves
breaking things down into individual components or steps. He is an
excellent communicator and enjoys sharing his knowledge with other
handlers. All this makes Todd Raak a welcome asset to the AMPWDA
team.
